2026-27 Hokitika South Ground Detection Based Control operation

Location/Region: The project area lies south of the Hokitika River and runs down to approximately Rocky Creek and the Totara Lagoon. Habitat includes dairy farmland, bush pasture edges, exotic forest, native forest remnants, wetlands, willows along riparian margins, and old-growth podocarp forest in undeveloped areas. Included is the area surrounding Lake Mahinapua and the Mananui Tramline track. Approx. 6762 hectares
